Going From Having It All To Having Nothing: A Journey Of Personal Awakening

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Houston, TX –
The Sabbatical (Createspace), by Frederick Pinto, presents important
questions to a generation that wants to have it all despite living in a
rocky, continuously changing climate. Pinto weaves his own experiences
in the music industry and thoughts on where Western society is headed
into a story of personal awakening after a young man loses everything he
valued.

Charles Barca spent six years getting it all. Set in
the landscape of the drug-strewn, head-banging clubs and the slick
offices of the New Creative Elite, Charles was the wildly successful
owner of an online music company, had a relationship with a hot artist
girlfriend, and had achieved local celebrity status—all of which came
crashing down in one day. Before long, he is without friends, love, or
meaning in life after he is removed as the resident genius of the
company he himself founded, and seeks sanity and purpose in the cynical
worlds of modern art and business.

The Sabbatical covers the
following months of Charles’ life as he deals with self-loathing, drugs,
traveling and mingling with acquaintances, both old and new. He must
come face-to-face with major personal decisions as well as with ones for
his company, as papers need to be signed and major labels jostle for
his attention. However, he will only find clarity miles away in Brazil,
as the noise around him subsides and he engages in a more authentic form
of deeper self-evaluation.

Set in today’s post-apocalyptic
music industry, The Sabbatical is part existential diary, part
hedonistic travelogue, part music business intrigue, part anti-love
story, and has been said to “take the philosophical novel into the age
of social media.”

“The Sabbatical places a satirical lens on the
values Western society has gained and lost over the years, which
reflects the values of our entertainment industry,” says Pinto. “We’re
all the stars of our own show. The most meaningful question we can come
up with is what do I really want?”
Receiving rave reviews on
Amazon.com and on the blogosphere, the vivid characters and exceptional
story-telling in The Sabbatical make for an action-packed read that is
tough to put down. Please visit: www.thesabbaticalbook.com.

Frederick
Pinto has practiced, taught, published and lectured in the fields of
entertainment, music law, digital copyright and high-technology law. In
2007 and 2008, he was the columnist on digital music business issues for
Royalty Week, an industry-wide online publication, and has had numerous
articles published in law journals, magazines and newspapers.

Tribute To Musical Genius Also A Gift For The Troops

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ronnie Van
Zant, founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, died 35 years ago in an
airplane crash that shocked the nation. Now a book honoring Van Zant,
written by Ron Eckerman, will be given away in ebook format free to
members of the Armed Forces and veterans until Christmas.

“The
other day I was on a radio program that went out to our military and I
announced I’d give each and every one of them a free ebook for
Christmas,” Eckerman says. “I hope everybody will spread the word for
me. They’ll be able to order it from www.turnitupbook.com starting on Thanksgiving Day, formatted for their phone, laptop, ereader or tablet.”

“Sweet
Home Alabama,” written 40 years ago by Ronnie Van Zant, Ed King, and
Gary Rossington, is beloved of hundreds of millions of people throughout
the world, yet few know who wrote it. Ronnie Van Zant, lyricist, wrote
dozens of hits including “Free Bird,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Simple Man,”
and countless others in a career that spanned only four short years.

Ron
Eckerman was with them two of the four years Lynyrd Skynyrd was on the
map, and both witnessed and assisted in their climb to the top of the
music industry. Now, after 35 years of
silence, Eckerman recounts his
experiences with the band and the horror of the plane crash in his
book, Turn It Up! (Restless Artists).

“This book was a labor of
love. There was an important piece of music history missing, a
tremendous amount of misleading and false information out there… it
had to be cleared up,” Eckerman continues. “So I created a factual
manuscript that reveals the personalities and relationships of one of
the most iconic bands in music history – Lynyrd Skynyrd.”

Ron
Eckerman, born in Houston, TX, was a pioneer in the rock concert
industry. In 1973 he began staging concerts and created one of the early
concert lighting/touring production companies. Soon afterwards he
became tour manager for Lynyrd Skynyrd and began a two year stint with
the group, witnessing and participating in their meteoric rise to fame
and world-wide acclaim. After the tragic plane crash that ended the
original band, Mr. Eckerman has produced in film, television, and stage,
and has taught theater and artist management at Santa Monica College.

The
book is available in all ebook formats and can be read on any
electronic reading device. To order a copy, members of the military and
veterans can go to the website www.turnitupbook.com and follow the ordering instructions, beginning on Thanksgiving Day and lasting until Christmas Day.

Mainstream Science Increasingly Rediscovers What This Pioneer Of Cancer Research Knew All Along

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mill Valley,
CA – One thing cancer does not do is discriminate. We know it can affect
any age group from every walk of life, but what if there were a vaccine
out there that could offer hope and solace to that certain cancer
victim we all know? According to Edmond G. Addeo, author of The Woman
Who Cured Cancer: The Remarkable Story of Dr. Virginia
Livingston-Wheeler (Waterfront Publishing), “There is. It was developed
over thirty years ago and is still available today and being used by
hundreds of physicians around the country to cure cancer.”

The
story starts with Dr. Virginia Livingston-Wheeler, who graduated from
NYU-Bellevue Medical College in 1936 as one of four women in her class.
After practicing medicine in New York, New Jersey and California, she
published scores of technical papers in respected journals on her
discovery, the Cancer Microbe. For decades she treated the immune
systems of cancer patients in her San Diego clinic, where Addeo worked
closely with her. “She pioneered innovative treatments, including
development of a cancer-curing vaccine that achieved a 90% cure rate –
and that vaccine is still available today,” says Addeo.

He adds:
“Even with all the good news about cancer treatment being published
daily and the FDA approving autogenous vaccines, the best news of all is
that Dr. John Majnarich, the man who made Dr. Virginia’s successful
vaccines more than 30 years ago, is still making them in his laboratory
near Seattle today!”

Dr. Majnarich is a biochemist who first met
Dr. Virginia in 1970. After hearing her theories and treatment methods
and speaking with several of her patients, he became convinced she was
on the right track. He began supplying her clinic with around 100
vaccines a month and did so until her death in 1990. Since then,
physicians around the country who knew about her work, and Dr.
Majnarich’s reputation, began to discuss their patients with him and
sent urine samples for vaccines to be made. These were not ‘alternative’
clinics or fringe-credible practitioners but practicing physicians and
surgeons. All they require is a referral by a physician; the
administration of the vaccine is so simple and painless that many
patients can administer it themselves.

“I can’t see why the
medical profession keeps skirting around the evidence,” says Dr.
Majnarich. “Maybe in a year or so they’ll pick up on the microbial
causes of cancer. They certainly must be getting close, because related
studies reported in reputable journals is piling higher every month.”

“The
book is a detailed yet easy to follow account of Dr. Virginia’s
discovery of a ‘cancer microbe’ and her subsequent battles with the
Establishment, even as her groundbreaking treatment therapies were
bringing remissions to thousands of patients in the last half of the
20th century – and continue to do so today as evidenced by the many
success stories outlined in the book,” says Addeo. Mainstream science is
increasingly “rediscovering” what Dr. Virginia knew all along — diet,
vitamins, and vaccines are important. Addeo also surveys current
research in universities and institutions nationwide that duplicate Dr.
Virginia’s once-denounced vaccine and nutrition-based treatments and he
discovered these treatments are currently available to the public.
Information on how to obtain the vaccine is also included in the book.

Addeo’s
book could be 1,000 pages long and still be incomplete; that’s how fast
research is progressing in virtually every corner of the world. “The
purpose of this book is not only to remind the public of Dr. Virginia’s
exalted position in the history of cancer research, but also to point
out currently acceptable treatments that were once ridiculed when she
proposed them, and to bring new hope and optimism to cancer victims
everywhere – hope that Dr. Virginia tried in vain a generation ago to
shout from the rooftops,” states Addeo. “While it has been 20 years
since the world lost the medical genius of Dr. Virginia, there are still
doctors (like Dr. Majnarich) and clinics that perform treatment
protocols similar to hers.”

Edmond Addeo is a former science
journalist and author of twelve published books. For more information on
the author or his notable book, “that could very well save your life or
the life of a loved one,” please visit: www.thewomanwhocuredcancer.com and www.edaddeo.com.

This Doctor Uses Words Instead Of A Scalpel To Heal And Inspire People To Reach Their Full Potential

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Boca Raton, FL
– We all have problems in life; but imagine, after years of hard work
and study to become a prominent surgeon, something goes horribly wrong
in the operating room and, in an instant, your life is forever changed.
It’s normally the patient that’s at risk of a complication in the
operating room, not the doctor. However, one day as Emile Allen, M.D.
was operating to save a woman’s life, he was electrocuted and nearly
died. He remembered hearing a voice telling him: “I’m not ready for you
yet. You have more work to do.” He had no way of knowing the challenges
he would face or how many times he would hear those words…

Dr.
Allen had suffered a brain injury and, in a split second, went from
performing intricate surgical procedures to struggling just to do simple
things such as counting change at the grocery store or reading a book.
The event not only changed his career but also his identity and
capabilities. At the time, he didn’t understand how significant the
impact of this incident would be for the rest of his life.

Eaten
By The Tiger: Surrendering to an Empowered Life, by Emile Allen, M.D.,
is a collection of stories and insights acquired through his personal
experiences as a surgeon, son and patient that helped get him through
the paralysis of emotional and physical loss. He had ridden the gamut of
emotions from shock and denial to full-blown depression. While learning
to meditate on vacation in Fiji, he heard ‘the words’ again and was
transcended to such a peaceful state of mind that his perception of the
rest of the world was heightened. He had truly found the meaning of
being “Eaten By The Tiger.”

For anyone who has experienced a
recent loss or might be struggling with life’s daily challenges, there
is at least one story in Allen’s personal journey that will undoubtedly
inspire you to find your own insights. Regardless of the reason, you
will be able to relate to something in his compelling story because it
will touch some aspect of your life.

Dr. Allen’s fascinating
inside stories of life as a surgeon, life lessons learned from his
frustration with the healthcare industry, and his own personal
experiences as a patient all exhibit a compassion for others that blends
perfectly with his dry wit and grabs the reader’s attention from the
first page. In sharing the extraordinary roller coaster ride of emotions
during his long recovery that prompted his journey of self-discovery,
readers may laugh or cry, but they will all be moved and inspired to
overcome their own obstacles and succeed at finding their own purpose in
life.

Dr. Allen is a graduate of Northwestern University
Medical School in Chicago. He completed his general surgery internship
and urology residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He
is the former Chairman of Urology and Vice Chairman of Surgery at
Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, CA.  As a retired urologist, Dr.
Allen has turned his passion for helping others into inspirational
speaking and writing, touching more lives than he ever could have as a
surgeon.

Eaten By The Tiger is both motivating and empowering. In
candidly sharing all he experienced, from his darkest moments to his
utmost joy, Dr. Allen helps readers see that how we deal with life’s
challenges determines the outcome of our lives.

Hungry For Revenge; Stoked For Mayhem

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Greenwich, CT –
Jeffrey Stephens’ deftly rendered new novel plunges the reader into a
deadly maelstrom of secrets, lies and shadows. Targets of Revenge
(Gallery Books) tells the story of top CIA agent Jordan Sandor, whose
quick intelligence and lethal skills charged the pages of Stephens’
first two novels, Targets of Deception and Targets of Opportunity.
Stephens paints this secretive and dangerous world in vivid and
realistic language.
A natural born, exceptional storyteller, he has been endorsed by the #1 New York Times best-seller, Vince Flynn.

All
the bureaucratic scolding in Washington cannot stop resourceful CIA
Agent Jordan Sandor when he’s hungry for revenge. This time he’s on the
hunt for the cold-blooded sociopath known as Adina, whose indiscriminate
slaughter of innocent people, including Sandor’s close friend,
represents humankind at its worst.

Mobilizing a team of skilled
and dedicated agents to carry out this secret operation, Sandor flies in
the face of his superiors’ stern warnings — ultimately crash-landing in
the heart of the Venezuelan jungle. Armed with little more than a
combat knife and an automatic weapon, he infiltrates Adina’s camp and
discovers the ruthless terrorist is smuggling not only cocaine into the
United States but a deadly substance that could cost tens of thousands
of lives as well.

More focused than ever, Sandor embarks on his
perilous mission, moving from South America to the Middle East, then to
Russia and Mexico, eluding assassins and escaping capture in his efforts
to prevent this attack. In the end, when he uncovers the realities of
Adina’s deranged plan for a catastrophic assault on New York City,
Sandor has no choice but to risk his life to protect his country’s
safety and freedom.

Targets of Revenge leaves your heart
pounding, again reminding us in terrifying detail that there  are many
who will go to any length to attack the United States.

Jeffrey
S. Stephens is a native New Yorker now living in Greenwich, Connecticut,
with his wife, Nancy. They have two sons. For more information on

A Thrill Ride For Patriots

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Spring, TX – Sometimes you just have to
take a stand. Our country first learned this through the American
Revolution, and a stubborn insistence on liberty is the hallmark of
patriots to the present day. Telling that story in all its many forms is
bound to be exciting and inspirational. In Patriots of Treason
(AKA-Publishing), David Thomas Roberts bursts into the political
thriller genre with style and passion.

A nation in crisis. A
president of division. A deadlocked Congress. The United States is on
the brink of civil war—again. Only a courageous federal whistleblower,
an ordinary Texan and a governor who won’t tolerate the shredding of the
Constitution can thwart an evil conspiracy by the federal government.

An
incumbent minority president, losing at the polls in his re-election
bid due to the economy, gas prices and scandals in his administration,
pulls a surprise and swings the election. An assassination attempt
creates the perfect scapegoat—the Tea Party—through a deceit so well
disguised that it comes dangerously close to succeeding.

But,
like patriots before them, some won’t stand for it. Some will become
Patriots of Treason. Taut and suspenseful, readers will just have to
hang on and ride to the end for a surprising conclusion.

Author
Dave Roberts moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1967 when he was eight years
old. His family made regular trips to the Alamo with friends, neighbors
and visiting relatives; the story of the Alamo, the spirit of all its
Texan heroes, and the fight for Texas independence left an indelible
impression on him that has endured a lifetime.

As a
“naturalized” Texan, Roberts has become a staunch defender and admirer
of all things Texas, including her rich and unique history, politics,
culture and people. The author is active in politics and the movement
for modern-day Texas Independence, and has been a speaker at Tea Party
events.

Roberts lives in Texas with his wife of 29 years. They
have four children and one grandchild, all of whom have been blessed to
have been born “Native Texans.”

Teligistics Surpasses $7 Billion in Sourced Telecom Contracts

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Houston, TX – Teligistics announced it has
surpassed the $7 billion mark in total contract value procured on behalf
of client companies since its founding in 1997. Referring to this
significant milestone, Dave Roberts, CEO and founder of Teligistics,
says “We are undoubtedly the leading source for large enterprise
procurement of complex global voice, data and technology related
contracts.  We continue to win for our clients ‘Best in Class’ contracts
because we have the technology, subject domain expertise, experience
and the market data necessary to deliver outstanding results.”

Teligistics
launched the proprietary and ground-breaking online eProcurement tool
branded as Telibid™ in 2011. This web-based sourcing tool allows
enterprises to publish an RFP (request for pricing/proposal) online via
customizable telecom templates for all categories of telecom services
(wireless/mobility, local, long distance, audio/web conferencing, MPLS,
Managed Services, Internet access and more). Telibid includes an
optional state-of-the-art reverse auction format.

Roberts
continues “Telibid is the next generation of sourcing tools for
enterprise-level telecom users.  The design was based on the subject
matter expertise we have assembled from sourcing thousands of large and
complex global telecom contracts. Our methodology for analyzing telecom
provider rate plans, for which we received a U.S. Patent in 2005, is the
basis for the financial analysis reports that are created from the RFP
bidder responses. Teligistics clearly continues to be the market leader
for this type of in-depth analysis.”

 Roberts adds, “Despite the
fact that the cost of technology and communications services generally
go down over time, most large organizations are faced with ballooning
telecom budgets but can’t figure out why. This is generally due to the
fact that the average telecom cost per employees is exploding with the
primary culprit being wireless mobility. The rate of telecom consumption
is outpacing the natural downward trend of technology in the
marketplace. The rate of increase in telecom costs per employee is only
second to employee healthcare. ”

Founded in 1997, Teligistics is a
closely-held private Texas corporation and the leading provider of
enterprise-level telecom cost control solution tools in the United
States. Sourcing of large telecom contracts continues to be a
core-competency of the firm, serving many Fortune® 1000 clients.
Teligistics also provides client solutions in TEM (Telecom Expense
Management) through its proprietary TEAM™ (telecom expense & asset
management) platform for auditing, allocating and processing of telecom
invoices for client companies. eMobilegistics™ manages thousands of
mobile/wireless devices for client companies.
