What’s Your Anger Type? Revised Edition

New York, NY – In a thoughtful new book, renowned author and psychologist Peter Sacco takes a good, hard look at anger and the reasons it might be disrupting our lives, and future generations. In What’s Your Anger Type? Revised Edition, he asks, can anger be addictive?

“After working with individuals one-on-one in counseling and in groups, I would definitely have to say yes,” he says. “There are people who get totally aroused, empowered and motivated by their anger.” People respond to adversity and emotions one of two ways. They either run from it, or they stand up to it. “If you keep standing up to conflict or seek it, you get aroused and release adrenaline. This hormone provides a rush almost like a stimulant or ‘upper.’ We are seeing more of this now in acts driven by political fanaticism and moral justification.

There are twelve types of anger identified in What’s Your Anger Type? Revised Edition. A series of self-inventory tests help to clarify the different anger types and provide tips on overcoming them through proven methods. The two most important facts to keep in mind about anger, Sacco says, are that anger is a normal and healthy emotion, and you are not nuts or insane when you get angry. “It is how you deal with your anger which is the most important factor,” he continues. “There’s no time like the present to modify your life and make optimal living your goal.” His new book examines how ‘anger’ is affecting today’s children in North America.

Peter Sacco is also the acclaimed author of Right Now Enough Is Enough, a self-help guide for overcoming addictions of all types by combining Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with the law of attraction. And in Why Keeping Resolutions Are So Ridiculously Difficult! The Handbook To Understanding And Overcoming Procrastination, Sacco explains that procrastination is a habit that can become an addiction, and how it is out of control in our culture – as are the bad habits and addictions which are its by-products.

In addition to being an author of many books and more than 800 magazine articles, Sacco is an award-winning lecturer at universities in both the USA and Canada, specializing in relationships, criminal psychology, addictions, and mental health. He is also a frequent resident expert on several television programs and appears regularly as a guest expert on many news talk radio shows in the USA (FOX, ABC, CBS, Iheart, Coast To Coast, etc.), as well as hosting the weekly radio show “Matters of the Mind: Managing Relationships and Mental Health.” He is also an award-winning executive producer and host of documentaries on relationships, psychological issues and child issues.

Bullying Has No Boundaries; Two Books That Deal With The Issues Facing Kids And Adults Today

New York, NY – Peter A. Sacco has written scripts for TV commercials, as well as for movie production companies. He worked with Academy Award winner Joe Mayer and also wrote the Vices commercial which premiered at the Boston Film Festival. As evidenced by his latest books, this award-winning executive producer is determined to end bullying and relationship violence, and has teamed up with actor/director Mitch Markowitz to create a PSA on bullying.

His exciting new children’s book should be on everyone’s holiday gift-giving list. Gummer: The Last Toothless Vampire (DoctorZed Publishing) is a heartwarming and exciting story children will love.

James Reed is a foster child who has been bullied throughout his entire short life. Through a chance encounter, he meets Ted ─ a toothless vampire ─ who was bitten while living rough on the mean city streets. Not long after, the vampire who bit him was destroyed leaving Ted as the last of his kind and ….fangless! James is on a quest to find his mother with the help of his toothless vampire friend, but how far will a vampire go to make a lonely kid’s dream come true? The differences in this unlikely couple actually end up helping their two souls bond together and the outcome has James reuniting with his mother in a tale so engaging, it’s sure to make Gummer the next holiday tradition.

We often think bullying is reserved for kids and situations that happen in schools, but what about the bullying of adults? In Bullying for Adults: Big Fish in a Small Pond, Peter details different types of bullies, what makes someone become a bully, the forms in which it occurs, the types of abusive/dominating behavior, who’s likely to be a victim, the warning signs, and offers advice on how not to become a victim, and much more. This eBook is available at no charge to help get the word out.

Regardless of whether it’s on social media or some other venue, Internet bullying has become a serious issue for both children and adults today, and its emotional effect can create mental health problems for victims that last a lifetime. Peter Sacco is a strong advocate for stopping all relationship violence for every age group.

Peter Sacco is a recipient of the Award of Excellence in Teaching, lecturing at universities both in the US and Canada, and is also an Adjunct Psychology Professor at Niagara University in Lewiston, NY, in the Teacher Education Program. A bestselling author, psychology professor and former private practitioner, Peter has also written over 500 articles in media/magazines as well as several book reviews for Prentice-Hall Publishing. If I Was A Bird…What Kind Of Flock Would I Fly With? Lessons For Living Right

New York, NY – Teaching kids to accept others is a lesson no one can afford to ignore. If I Was A Bird…What Kind Of Flock Would I Fly With? (DoctorZed Publishing) by Peter Sacco offers a light touch on a serious topic.

Tragedies resulting from bullying seem to be multiplying, and intolerance of cultural and religious differences is all too common. Author, professor and therapist Peter Sacco asks teachers, parents and counselors, how will this negative phenomenon ever change?

Simple: Through kids!

In If I Was A Bird, Billy is taken on a journey, encountering many different birds, their habits, their lifestyles, and their own unique quirks. Eventually Billy himself is transformed into a canary and learns the skill of empathy. This experience helps Billy choose wise and sincere friends, while at the same time learning tolerance for those who are not like he is. In the end, Billy learns who you “flock” with says much about you.

Kids ages six to twelve are encouraged to think about and discuss building self-esteem, self-confidence, and develop strategies for saying “no” to bullying. If I Was A Bird will be printed in five different languages to benefit children’s programs at the Center For Abuse Awareness, an organization highlighting the true cost of neglect and abuse, and supporting abuse-related organizations in the U.S. and Canada, including children’s services, victims services, shelters and other agencies that deal with children, women and men whose lives have been affected by abuse.

Peter is the author of many popular international books and more than 700 magazine articles. He has received the Award of Excellence in Teaching and lectures at universities in both the U.S. and Canada. He currently hosts a weekly radio show, “Matters of the Mind” which features celebrities with whom he discusses mental health, relationship and addiction issues. He is also an award-winning executive producer and host of documentaries on relationships, psychological issues and children’s issues.
