FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Proceeds From 5K Pub Run Benefit No-Kill Animal Shelter

Houston, TX, ― The 2018 Cupid’s Crawl Pub Run is just around the corner, and whether your status is “single,” “in a relationship” or “it’s complicated,” you don’t want to miss this enjoyable jog up and down Washington Avenue.

The annual 5K begins at noon on Saturday, February 10, at Kung Fu Saloon. From there, walkers, runners and beer enthusiasts will venture to NettBar, Underdogs Sports Pub, Porch Swing Pub, Fuego’s Saloon and back to Kung Fu Saloon for the after party.
One beer at each of the five bars on the pub run is included in the registration. Register online for $45 or pay $50 the day of the race.
The Cupid’s Crawl Pub Run is hosted by Kung Fu Running Club and surrounding Houston FFP Running Clubs. All proceeds from the run benefit Friends For Life, the only LEED-certified, No-Kill animal shelter in Houston. Since December 2011, Kung Fu Running Club has raised more than $40,000 in donations for Friends For Life.

Executive Director Salise Shuttlesworth founded Friends For Life in 2002 to offer a No-Kill alternative to traditionally run shelters in the Houston area. Friends For Life’s ongoing efforts provide adoption services, rescue and rehabilitation, and support for frustrated pet owners struggling with behavioral and other concerns.
