What Would It Be Like If The Devil Wrote A Bible? Now, We Can Find Out…

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Rafael, CA – Earthen Vessel Publishing
releases If The Devil Wrote A Bible, by Kent Allan and Katie Philpott.
Originally published in 1974, the authors have put a whole new spin on
their classic, big-seller.

In this newest version of If The Devil
Wrote A Bible, authors Kent, and his wife Katie, Philpott have updated
the contents entirely, nearly tripling the word count and adding two
special features; the ‘Demonments,’ which are the devil’s version of the
Ten Commandments, and the ‘BeBaditudes,’ which are the counterpart to
Jesus’ Beatitudes found in Matthew’s Gospel.

Throughout the
twenty-nine chapters the devil spins his lies, some so very clever
people might not even recognize their demonic origin. In chapter 6 the
devil writes: “The bible is hopelessly outdated, complicated, and
unintelligible to modern readers.” In chapter 12 he pontificates, “What
counts is the community of Earth. Personal salvation is
self-centeredness to the extreme.”

There is a Christian response
after every demonic passage, presenting a reasonable and biblical
refutation to the witty but wickedly devilish lie of the ‘crafty one.’

In
1974, Logos International of Plainfield, New Jersey published the
original version of Philpott’s “If The Devil Wrote A Bible.”  The small
volume treated some of the common misconceptions people have about
quasi-spiritual and Christian concepts. Philpott exposed their demonic
nature and presented a biblical point of view in their place. The books
flew off the shelves, with the need for a second print run a year later.
The demand was such that it was also published and distributed in
Spanish.

The current version of If The Devil Wrote A Bible is available in paperback and E-book format at: www.evpbooks.com .
