Bailey, No Ordinary Cat
Delightful For All Ages

For fans of Grumpy Cat and Cats of Instagram, there’s a new cat in town — Bailey, No Ordinary Cat, of Facebook and Instagram fame, is an extraordinary cat with a growing fan base. His videos have garnered millions of views and have been shared by Ellen, Good Morning America, ABC News, CBS News and more.

What makes Bailey more addictive than catnip? In addition to his adorable expressions and hilarious, heartfelt antics, Bailey has a penchant for doing things that are demonstratively uncatlike — things like taking bubble baths (and enjoying them), sitting attentively in a chair and being read to (for hours), getting a “pet”-icure and exuding unending patience while co-raising his human siblings Abby and Hannah (yes, there is photographic evidence that Bailey helped with potty-training).

To celebrate the unique, quirky spirit of this one-of-a-kind feline, his human mom, Erin Merryn, has released Bailey, No Ordinary Cat. Filled with more than 100 pages of color photographs and captions from the voice of Bailey himself, this personal peek into the life of one purr-fectly precious feline will delight cat lovers of all ages.

Bailey, like all cats, was not destined to live forever. But through Bailey, No Ordinary Cat, his big heart and even bigger personality will continue to evoke love and laughter well beyond his years here on earth.

About the Author

Erin Merryn is an author, activist, speaker, wife and mom. She was named Glamour Magazine Woman of the Year in 2012 and a People magazine Hero Among Us for her tireless work promoting Erin’s Law nationwide with a mission to keep children safe through age-appropriate education about personal body safety. In addition to Bailey, No Ordinary Cat, she is the author of Stolen Innocence, Living for Today and An Unimaginable Act.

Doctor Emerges From Losing Wife To Dementia To Share Compelling Story

Those who have emerged from the experience of caring for and losing a spouse or parent to dementia understand well how difficult the journey is. But for those whose loved one has just been diagnosed, Dr. Donald Hricik’s Lynne’s Last Christmas: A Battle With Dementia may be a helpful companion to have for the difficult journey ahead.

Lynne Hricik was diagnosed with the disease at age 64, and shortly after her death, Dr. Hricik penned Lynne’s Last Christmas within a few weeks as both a way of dealing with his and his family’s grief and to provide information about the disease and about caring for someone with dementia.

“I truly hope this book will provide some comfort to the many others who are caring for someone with this awful thing called dementia. You are not alone,” says Dr. Hricik.

In Lynne’s Last Christmas, Dr. Hricik recalls the last four years of his wife’s life during which she suffered memory loss and frequent falls. He also discusses the impact of her illness upon his children and close friends, and actually debated whether to have his children read the manuscript before it was published. All agreed that they should. “They cried when they read the final draft, but in sharing their thoughts, it brought back memories—both the good times and the bad times—we’d had during Lynne’s life,” he said.

The author also goes into detail about the condition itself. Dementia, he explains, isn’t a specific disease but rather a term that captures the group of symptoms associated with a decline in memory or other thinking skills. Though sometimes confused with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia is the overall group of which Alzheimer’s makes up 60-80 percent of cases.

Dr. Hricik is currently Alzheimer’s disease at Case Western Reserve University and served as the Chief of Nephrology and Hypertension at University Hospital’s Cleveland Medical Center from 1993 to 2017. His research interests have focused on complications of immunosuppression and immune monitoring of kidney transplant recipients. He has published more than 180 articles and books, and 35 book chapters.

Royalties from the book are being donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America and to the University Hospitals of Cleveland Hospice Service.

Ultra-Marathoner Inspires Others With Story Of Recovery And Resilience

David Clark has achieved unimaginable success in the ul-tramarathon world, having run more than 100 races, including the Leadville 100-Mile Trail Run and the Hardrock 100. It’s hard to imagine that 13 years ago, this elite athlete weighed more than 320 pounds and struggled with addictions to alcohol and prescription drugs. His story is one of a remarkable transformation — physically, mentally and spiritually.

From barely finishing his first 5k to running 100 miles in less than 18 hours, Clark shatters the notion that the front of the pack is a birthright in his raw, inspirational new release, Broken Open: Mountains, Demons, Treadmills and A Search for Nirvana.

Between the covers of Broken Open, Clark shares his stories of taking running to the ex-treme edges of his physical and spiritual breaking points. Among his many remarkable adven-tures, Clark talks about doing 10 epic events in one year to celebrate his 10th year of sobriety. This mind-bending year of running included completing the Boston Marathon four times in one day, running 343 laps around a high school track and running 48 hours on a treadmill. Readers will feel like they are running alongside him as he navigates his vision quest — all the while hallucinating and breaking from reality in one of the most epic Badwater 135 race experiences ever told.

Clark’s story is unfiltered, honest and pure adrenaline-laden inspiration as he shares his unique brand of Americana and Heavy Metal Buddhism. Broken Open has far more to offer than just miles travelled and mountains climbed. It’s about trying to find a way station of bal-ance between worlds of extremes. It’s about running to create a legacy and develop inner strength. After reading Broken Open, readers will never doubt how strong they can be, how much they can endure, or whether or not they are capable of finding true happiness.

David Clark lives just outside of Boulder, CO., where he is a father of three, an accomplished endurance athlete, a practicing Buddhist and a die-hard New York Rangers fan. He is also the author of the bestselling book Out There: A Story of Ultra Recovery and the host of the WeAreSuperman podcast.

Clark has been featured on CBS, ABC, ESPN, Runners World, Men’s Health and many other national media outlets. He has been sober since 2005 and addresses audiences on a range of topics, including how to become an unstoppable force of happiness; how to move past trauma, grief and loss; why politics is America’s newest addiction; how what we eat fits into our ability to be happy; weight loss; addiction; and American Libertarian Buddhism.

Bullying Has No Boundaries; Two Books That Deal With The Issues Facing Kids And Adults Today

New York, NY – Peter A. Sacco has written scripts for TV commercials, as well as for movie production companies. He worked with Academy Award winner Joe Mayer and also wrote the Vices commercial which premiered at the Boston Film Festival. As evidenced by his latest books, this award-winning executive producer is determined to end bullying and relationship violence, and has teamed up with actor/director Mitch Markowitz to create a PSA on bullying.

His exciting new children’s book should be on everyone’s holiday gift-giving list. Gummer: The Last Toothless Vampire (DoctorZed Publishing) is a heartwarming and exciting story children will love.

James Reed is a foster child who has been bullied throughout his entire short life. Through a chance encounter, he meets Ted ─ a toothless vampire ─ who was bitten while living rough on the mean city streets. Not long after, the vampire who bit him was destroyed leaving Ted as the last of his kind and ….fangless! James is on a quest to find his mother with the help of his toothless vampire friend, but how far will a vampire go to make a lonely kid’s dream come true? The differences in this unlikely couple actually end up helping their two souls bond together and the outcome has James reuniting with his mother in a tale so engaging, it’s sure to make Gummer the next holiday tradition.

We often think bullying is reserved for kids and situations that happen in schools, but what about the bullying of adults? In Bullying for Adults: Big Fish in a Small Pond, Peter details different types of bullies, what makes someone become a bully, the forms in which it occurs, the types of abusive/dominating behavior, who’s likely to be a victim, the warning signs, and offers advice on how not to become a victim, and much more. This eBook is available at no charge to help get the word out.

Regardless of whether it’s on social media or some other venue, Internet bullying has become a serious issue for both children and adults today, and its emotional effect can create mental health problems for victims that last a lifetime. Peter Sacco is a strong advocate for stopping all relationship violence for every age group.

Peter Sacco is a recipient of the Award of Excellence in Teaching, lecturing at universities both in the US and Canada, and is also an Adjunct Psychology Professor at Niagara University in Lewiston, NY, in the Teacher Education Program. A bestselling author, psychology professor and former private practitioner, Peter has also written over 500 articles in media/magazines as well as several book reviews for Prentice-Hall Publishing. He is a regularly featured guest on television and radio, and is the host of a highly popular weekly radio show. As an award-winning executive producer, he has hosted many documentaries on relationships, psychological issues and children’s issues. New Breakthroughs In The Drive For Peace In The Middle East: Changing Public Opinion Through Interfaith Unification

Houston, TX – Frank Romano, PhD, doesn’t merely talk about the possibility of sustainable peace in the Middle East, he champions programs through interfaith unification and has seen first-hand the results of these efforts. Even though he has found himself in dangerous situations, he has spent decades of his life working towards peace in the Middle East and his efforts are documented in Love and Terror in the Middle East (4th edition)

“There is definitely something positive happening right now in the US,” says Dr. Romano. “We’re realizing a favorable evolution in US public opinion. Americans are better informed and I believe this will lead to the American people demanding a louder voice on issues where the Middle East peace is concerned.”

Frank Romano’s story began decades ago with a move from California to France to study philosophy. He later ventured to Morocco on his way to the Middle East, where he was to participate in the interfaith peace movement. In his quest for the universal religion, which at first he thought might be Islam (meaning “peace”), he soon realized that the Islamic sect he met had little to do with peace and more to do with radicalism. After daring to ask questions relating to Islam and women, he was wrongly accused by Muslim extremists of being a Zionist spy and was imprisoned. This ultimately led to a spiritual awakening and, eventually, to his escape.

While Dr. Romano is due to return to his interfaith activities in the Middle East, he wants to be a part of what is certain to be more involvement by the American public relating to Middle East issues. His hope is to create a positive impact on American thinking which seems to be more open to interfaith peace activities.

Dr. Frank Romano is a lawyer, author, speaker and professor of law, literature, history and philosophy of law, and continues to be an advocate for peace in the Middle East.
