Psychotherapist Shares Inspiring Spiritual Observations

Psychotherapist Shares Inspiring Spiritual Observations
Writings detail profound, transformational visits with otherworldly presence

(This press release may be reprinted in part or entirety by any print or broadcast media outlet, or used by any means of social media sharing.)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Is there a reality that exists beyond our human awareness? As a minister and licensed psychotherapist, Dr. Pieter Noomen often addressed this question. And one day, he found himself the bearer of the answer.

Dr. Noomen experienced a profound transcendent journey that led him to connect on a deeply spiritual level with a higher presence. His “visits” into another human dimension would ultimately last for many years, and his communications with the one he calls “the source of all existence” are freely shared on his website, www.wordsforall.org.

As he explains, “I can only say that the information came from a presence on my innermost spiritual level I was in communication with for some time. The words seem the result of my spirit merging with the spirit of life It/Her/Himself.”

Visitors to Dr. Noomen’s website can read about the 12 components of life and ponder 147 thought-provoking questions and the illuminating answers that came to him during his extensive communications with the All Spirit. Avoiding the word God, Dr. Noomen relays his extraordinary journeys on the spiritual plane with an openness that invites readers to uncover and explore their own accessibility to spirituality without labels or constructs.

He grew to believe that, directly or indirectly, all life stems from one common source and that to connect with that source is the highest level of existence we can achieve on earth. And perhaps more importantly, he believed that being in direct contact with the ALL of existence is possible for every human being.

Dr. Noomen hoped that by making public his personal journeys with the world of the Positive State, he could open our hearts and minds to the possibility that there is more to our reality than meets the eye and help us understand the scope of what full existence is all about.

Dr. Noomen passed away in 2019, but his wealth of wisdom and insights freely shared on www.wordsforall.org will continue to inspire people throughout the world to broaden their spiritual paths.

An example from Dr. Noomen’s Wisdoms of the Week at www.wordsforall.org:

“It seems scientifically proven that laughing is good for our health. Yet I know a source that always lets me smile inside. That happens when I realize how awesomely great the universe is and how tiny I am. And much more, when I realize that this Totality of all, Life in its full volume, is essentially a love reality. Many may not feel or believe that, yet now I know that not my sense of reality counts, but the fact that He/She/It Who is the All doesn’t focus on that but just wants our relationship to be a love affair. That thought often causes more than a smile inside. I want to sing!”

Break the Fear Cycle: Brain Expert Shares Advice for Building Resilience During Challenging Times

Break the Fear Cycle: Brain Expert Shares Advice for Building Resilience During Challenging Times

(This press release may be reprinted in part or entirety by any print or broadcast media outlet, or used by any means of social media sharing.)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Forced social isolation, shuttered businesses and canceled or scaled-down worship services have contributed to an overwhelming sense of loss and fear among people all over the world. And there’s a scientific reason for these emotions, explains Timothy R. Jennings, M.D., board-certified psychiatrist, master psychopharmacologist and founder of Come and Reason Ministries.

Dr. Jennings is a much sought-after speaker who regularly addresses non-medical professionals on the subjects of Spirituality in Medicine, Depression and its Spiritual and Physical Connections, and Alzheimer’s Dementia. He also speaks to medical professionals on the topics of Psychotherapy in Clinical Practice, Major Depression in the Primary Care Setting, and the Neurobiology of Depression — among many others.

He describes how the measures taken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 can have physiological and psychological impacts that, like dominoes, will topple our sources of strength and resilience.

“Research shows that social rejection, isolation and loneliness activate the brain’s stress pathways, thereby increasing inflammatory factors, diminishing immune response and increasing vulnerability to viral infections and cancer, and make you less resilient in life,” he says.

In the shadow of government mandates that restrict our interactions with others, what can we do within our four walls to build our resilience and guard our overall wellbeing?

Dr. Jennings suggests we can boost our resilience through physical exercise, eating a healthy diet, getting regular sleep, cognitive training, having a healthy relationship with God and spiritual development — measures that can actually alter the way our brains react to stress.

“Healthy spirituality confers resilience in a multitude of ways,” he says. “It develops your higher cortex, which calms your fear circuits. You have less fear and you’re less anxious if you’ve got a developed prefrontal cortex. And if you have a loving relationship with a God you trust, that’s part of your prefrontal cortex. And if people have more love, they have less fear.”

Another part of our prefrontal cortex is altruism — something those with healthy spirituality are more likely to engage in — and helping others also calms fear circuits.

Our ability to face a crisis and bounce back is, in part, inherited from our parents and even grandparents through our genetic makeup, Dr. Jennings explains. But through a combination of mental, physical and spiritual adaptive measures, we can boost our resilience and improve our ability to overcome life’s challenges.

Dr. Timothy R. Jennings operates a private practice in Chattanooga and has successfully treated thousands of patients. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Life-Fellow of the Southern Psychiatric Association.

He is also a prolific author whose books include The God-Shaped Brain: How Changing Your View of God Transforms Your Life; Could It Be This Simple? A Biblical Model for Healing the Mind; The Aging Brain: Proven Steps to Prevent Dementia and Sharpen Your Mind; and The God-Shaped Heart: How Correctly Understanding God’s Love Transforms Us.

To hear his presentations and to learn more about Dr. Jennings and his approach to brain and body health, please visit: www.comeandreason.com.

Possible discussion topics for Dr. Jennings:

  1. How do positive social interactions reduce our inflammatory markers?
  2. How does wearing masks contribute to feelings of social isolation?
  3. Explain epigenetic markers and the role they play in our ability to be resilient.
  4. Explain how our life experiences can alter our gene expression and lead to improved resiliency.

Words for All Shares Doctor’s Profound Connection with the Other Dimension

Words for All Shares Doctor’s Profound Connection with the Other Dimension

Dr. Pieter Noomen hoped his transformational journey would inspire others to widen their spiritual paths

(This press release may be reprinted in part or entirety by any print or broadcast media outlet, or used by any means of social media sharing.)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The late Dr. Pieter Noomen sought to forever change the soul of humanity through meticulously chronicling the communications he shared with a spiritual presence. His website, www.wordsforall.org, is a collection of profound wisdom and insights for anyone seeking an authentic connection with our Maker.

Dr. Noomen’s own journey toward experiencing a direct, personal connection with the One Who is Life began more than 25 years ago when he studied the work of Dr. Peter D. Francuch, who communicated with what he called “the Positive State.” Dr. Noomen would go on to significantly widen his own spiritual path and have extraordinary experiences on the spiritual plane, the details of which he shares on www.wordsforall.org.

As Dr. Noomen himself explained, “I can only say that the information came from a presence on my innermost spiritual level I was in communication with for some time. The words seem the result of my spirit merging with the spirit of life It/Her/Himself.”

Visitors to Dr. Noomen’s website can read about the 12 components of life through his 12 booklets: Oneness, Love, Life, Fire, Space, Connectedness, Progression, Effect, Freedom, Joy, Differentness and Harmony. Throughout his writings, Dr. Noomen avoids using the name of any deity, such as God, and instead uses what he refers to as The Seven Names, each of which relates on a human level to the situation at hand: One Holy, Love, Truth, Proper, Healing, Manifestation and Energy.

A minister and licensed psychotherapist, Dr. Noomen was a man of great introspection and awareness. He experienced a profound transcendent journey that led him to connect on a deeply spiritual level with a higher presence. He grew to believe that, either directly or indirectly, all life stems from one common source, and when we are able to connect with that source, we reach the highest level of existence.

Dr. Noomen freely shares the abundance of life-changing messages that were communicated to him on his website, www.wordsforall.org. Sadly, Dr. Noomen passed away in 2019, but his Words for All will continue to inspire people throughout the world.

An example from Dr. Noomen’s Wisdoms of the Week at www.wordsforall.org:

“We all know that anything can go wrong anytime: in nature, parts of our body, relationships and, of course, technical equipment. Even our mind can suddenly take a dip. All these wisdoms state that Life Itself is Love; however, it may be battered and damaged. This may be hard to hold on to in days of breakdowns and misery. Yet when we do just that, holding on to all Life’s true nature being Love, it brings us ‘home’ and is healing; spiritually, mentally and perhaps even physically. How do I know? Life in me shows me. We all can have a personal relationship with Him/Her.”

Simplicity of Non-Religious, Non-Discriminatory Spirituality

Simplicity of Non-Religious, Non-Discriminatory Spirituality

(This press release may be reprinted in part or entirety by any print or broadcast media outlet or used by any means of social media sharing.)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Spirituality is distinct from religion and does not discriminate. It cannot! says Ravi Kathuria.

To some, the term ‘spirituality’ sounds mystical or complex, Ravi says. “It’s my mission to share with the world, spirituality is stunningly simple and as natural as sleeping.”

It’s also wholly inclusive and accessible to everyone regardless of caste, creed, religious beliefs, age, status, gender or sexual identity. No judgments. No preconditions, he adds.

By quieting our minds — by tapping into the spirituality that is inextricably woven into our DNA — we have the ability within ourselves to experience profound bliss, explains Ravi Kathuria.

“Learn to quiet your mind is the simple message the ancient Indian sages gave mankind,” he says. “Their message was not religious. It was a scientific discovery about human nature that can raise the quality and experience of life.”

Ravi demystifies spirituality and distinguishes it from religion in his thought-provoking book, Happy Soul. Hungry Mind.: A Modern-Day Parable About Spirituality.

Not a “pedantic” book about archaic dogmas, Happy Soul. Hungry Mind. is an emotional and humorous, easy-to-read parable that shares a series of conversations between two old friends who enjoy spirited discussions about the human journey and life’s challenges.

This format allows Ravi to organically capture the pressures of modern life and reveal techniques for calming the mind. He weaves in Spiritual Truths that boggle the mind and demonstrates how spirituality and modern living can synergistically and practically coexist. It may be the remedy we need in this world of stress and anxiety.

Ravi answers questions people have pondered for ages. “I share a definition of God that can change the course of human history,” states Ravi. “It can make the world more peaceful.”

Written for the modern reader, Happy Soul. Hungry Mind. is free from religious doctrines and makes spirituality accessible to the world’s 7 billion inhabitants. Spirituality benefits the religious and the atheists equally. You do not have to change your beliefs to benefit from spirituality, says Ravi.

“This is not our grandfather’s religious spirituality,” Ravi adds. “This is modern, practical — and simple spirituality! It is time to awaken the world as it yearns for true spirituality.”

Author Ravi Kathuria has been drawn to spirituality ever since he was young. A business thought leader, management consultant and executive coach, he has been quoted by the likes of the Wall Street Journal, NPR and the PBS Nightly Business Report.

His first book, How Cohesive is your Company? presented a holistic, cohesive management method that received great praise from top executives and business professors.

In his second book, Happy Soul. Hungry Mind., Ravi uses his analytical and intuitive skills to solve the complexity and confusion of spirituality. Happy Soul. Hungry Mind. is a work of spir-itual genius. Ravi lives in Sugar Land, a suburb of Houston, Texas.

Emotional Brain Training – A New Antidote to Pandemic Stress

Emotional Brain Training – A New Antidote to Pandemic Stress

(This press release may be reprinted in part or entirety by any print or broadcast media outlet, or used by any means of social media sharing)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

We urgently need two vaccines, one for COVID-19, and another for the overwhelming stress the pandemic has caused. Bestselling author and health psychologist Dr. Laurel Mellin in her new book, “What’s my number?” One Simple Question that Unlocks Your Brain’s Power for Health, Happiness & Purpose, maps out a simple, scientific way to protect ourselves from the stress overload of our time.

“To be truly safe, we need 2 vaccines; one for COVID and the other for stress for 3 reasons: Stress suppresses immunity, making us susceptible to catching the virus. It is an underlying cause of hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, which increase COVID severity and its stress, resulting in an epidemic of mental health issues,” says Dr. Mellin.

When stress is triggered, harmful chemicals are activated by a ‘stress reactive wire.’ Using simple tools, we can switch off that wire and activate a ‘stress resilient wire’ that spews healing chemicals. “Using this system, stress can be good for us,” says Mellin. “The stress reactive circuits only change when activated and we switch them off.”

Consider the following:

  1. Why is a stress vaccine so important for all Americans to have now? Stress suppresses the effectiveness of the immune system and is a root cause of the co-morbidities that make COVID more lethal. Stress hormones activate unhealthy habits like overeating, drinking, sitting and sleep problems, and stress is the underlying cause of our epidemics of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
  2. What was the scientific breakthrough that led to EBT? We discovered that the emotional brain has 5 resiliency pathways that mirror the emotional processing res-ponse mothers use to encode resilience in their children. We made techniques that enable anyone to use these 5 simple pathways anytime to release stress.
  3. Why does our nation need to reboot our approach to stress with EBT? Research shows that traditional methods only use 2 of the 5 resiliency pathways, and work well in low stress but fail the test even at pre-COVID levels. Stress levels are more extreme now and our nation is ill-prepared to deal with these overwhelming levels. As a public health effort, we need to reboot for high-intensity stress effectiveness, and there is no better time to do it than right now.
  4. Why does the EBT system make stress good for us? By resetting our brain to become highly stress-effective, we bring out its natural healing powers. It’s only during high-stress times when we’re connected to our feelings that we automatically update the brain with expectations that are in harmony with our changing world. If we are stress-effective, our daily dose of stress strengthens our resilience, which is the foundation of health and happiness and enhances our capacity to live a more purposeful life.

Dr. Laurel Mellin is the founder of Emotional Brain Training (EBT), a neuroscience-based solution to stress. She is a health psychologist and Associate Clinical Professor of Family and Community Medicine and Pediatrics, School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Mellin is a New York Times bestselling author/researcher, speaker and clinical trainer. EBT is the only method that maps the emotional brain; the seat of health, happiness, spirituality, relationships and productivity in a structured way that empowers people to self-direct their own emotional health and well-being.

Ultra-Marathoner Inspires Others With Story Of Recovery And Resilience

David Clark has achieved unimaginable success in the ul-tramarathon world, having run more than 100 races, including the Leadville 100-Mile Trail Run and the Hardrock 100. It’s hard to imagine that 13 years ago, this elite athlete weighed more than 320 pounds and struggled with addictions to alcohol and prescription drugs. His story is one of a remarkable transformation — physically, mentally and spiritually.

From barely finishing his first 5k to running 100 miles in less than 18 hours, Clark shatters the notion that the front of the pack is a birthright in his raw, inspirational new release, Broken Open: Mountains, Demons, Treadmills and A Search for Nirvana.

Between the covers of Broken Open, Clark shares his stories of taking running to the ex-treme edges of his physical and spiritual breaking points. Among his many remarkable adven-tures, Clark talks about doing 10 epic events in one year to celebrate his 10th year of sobriety. This mind-bending year of running included completing the Boston Marathon four times in one day, running 343 laps around a high school track and running 48 hours on a treadmill. Readers will feel like they are running alongside him as he navigates his vision quest — all the while hallucinating and breaking from reality in one of the most epic Badwater 135 race experiences ever told.

Clark’s story is unfiltered, honest and pure adrenaline-laden inspiration as he shares his unique brand of Americana and Heavy Metal Buddhism. Broken Open has far more to offer than just miles travelled and mountains climbed. It’s about trying to find a way station of bal-ance between worlds of extremes. It’s about running to create a legacy and develop inner strength. After reading Broken Open, readers will never doubt how strong they can be, how much they can endure, or whether or not they are capable of finding true happiness.

David Clark lives just outside of Boulder, CO., where he is a father of three, an accomplished endurance athlete, a practicing Buddhist and a die-hard New York Rangers fan. He is also the author of the bestselling book Out There: A Story of Ultra Recovery and the host of the WeAreSuperman podcast.

Clark has been featured on CBS, ABC, ESPN, Runners World, Men’s Health and many other national media outlets. He has been sober since 2005 and addresses audiences on a range of topics, including how to become an unstoppable force of happiness; how to move past trauma, grief and loss; why politics is America’s newest addiction; how what we eat fits into our ability to be happy; weight loss; addiction; and American Libertarian Buddhism.
