AM I … Guides Readers Toward Personal, Authentic Faith

There is a crisis of faith in today’s world, but it’s probably not what you think. The crisis isn’t that people have stopped believing, it’s that believers don’t have deep, personal connections with what they believe in.

The concepts of faith and belief have been relegated to holy books filled with stories that happened a long time ago. Believers may revere the book, but never read it. They may believe strongly in one religion or another, without really understanding what their religion stands for. As a result, God has become an impersonal, generic concept that sits on the outskirts of daily life, governing from on high in a place far, far away.

Building a life of authentic, personal faith must begin with truly understanding what we have faith in, if we have faith in anything at all, explains author and international speaker Scott MacLellan.

In his book, Am I, MacLellan masterfully guides believers deeper into a personal relationship with the God they worship, whomever that may be. The goal of Am I is not to tell readers what to believe, but to uncover what they already believe on a personal level. Through questions posed to God himself, AM I takes readers beyond the faith of their childhood and community and into a faith that is specific and unique to their lives.

MacLellan has written two versions of Am I. The shortened edition, Am I … The Four Fun-damentals of Faith, is for newer believers who might still be exploring what faith really means. The full version, Am I … Building a Life of Personal Faith, is for the evolving believer. It covers all the material in the condensed version plus several additional topics.

Author, international speaker on faith and entrepreneur Scott MacLellan has impacted multiple organizations whose missions are to help the impoverished, the addicted or those who struggle with illness. When not speaking on one of these subjects, he can be found working with a skilled team of business leaders, or on the coast of South Carolina where he shares his home with his wife of 34 years and his amazing 7-year-old grandson. He has two grown daughters, and more grandchildren are on the way.

Out Of Darkness Puts The Bite Back In Young Adult Vampire Genre

Brian Porter’s mysterious, sudden onset obesity makes him an easy target for school bullies—physically and emotionally. Even his one-time best friend has joined in the bullying, teasing Brian relentlessly since his unexpected metamorphosis. Brian hates what he sees in his reflection, too. He hopes that summer break will offer him a reprieve.

On the first day of summer, Brian’s former best friend, Chris, challenges Brian to enter the neighborhood’s scariest house. The trade-off? Chris promises not to tease Brian all summer, and it’s a chance for Brian to impress his new female friend, Sarah. But there’s a dark, toothy reason behind the home’s evil reputation, and Brian and Chris are about to discover it.

Out of Darkness from M. A. Richards puts the bite back in young adult horror, with evil vampires who fight on behalf of Satan to enslave humanity and werewolves who are warriors, fighting for God to keep humanity free.

When Chris and Brian uncover a pair of vampires in the neighborhood “haunted house,” Chris is captured, and Brian finds himself fighting to survive a vampire attack—a battle he’d lose if not for a daring rescue by the vampires’ ancient enemies: werewolves. To save him from a deadly wound, Brian’s lycanthropic allies turn him into one of their own.

Now, Brian is a powerful young werewolf with a strong new body. He’s also become part of an ancient war to protect mankind. It’s his destiny to revitalize the Holy Warriors, a once great werewolf order sworn to protect the world from vampire domination. But the order’s leaders have become corrupt—and worse, they want Brian dead. He’d prefer to keep living.

Author M. A. Richards grew up in the country in Oregon, the fourth of five boys, and enjoyed watching monster movies. He attended the former Ricks College (now Brigham Young University—Idaho) and spent most of his life in the US Marine Corps. He currently lives in Texas with his family. Richards was recently diagnosed with a deadly disease called sarcoidosis. He wrote Out of Darkness for his children. To learn more, please visit https://www.authormarichards.com/.

Groundbreaking Research Finds Dyslexia And Related Disorders Are Medically Treatable, And Dramatic Improvement Is Possible—Even Partially For Autism/ASD

For more than 50 years, world-renowned clinical researcher Dr. Harold N. Levinson has trained his attention on understanding and treating dyslexia’s hidden origins. He came to view dyslexia as not just a “pure” reading comprehension disorder characterized by reversals, but rather a highly complex syndrome consisting of many and varied symptoms. And he has successfully treated more than 35,000 dyslexics, bringing a much needed depth of understanding, compassion and real help to those failing to cope with the daily challenges presented by this previously misunderstood and often devastating impairment. As a result, bright but dumb-feeling dyslexics—as well as those with related disorders—have been enabled to rapidly feel smarter and smarter.

How did he do it?

His latest book, Feeling Smarter and Smarter—Discovering the Inner-ear Origins and Treatment for Dyslexia/LD, ADD/ADHD and Phobias/Anxiety, explains his groundbreaking findings and his effective treatment process in easy-to-understand language. At the core of his research is his discovery that dyslexia—really its complex syndrome—is caused by one treatable signal-tuning dysfunction within the inner-ear and its supercomputing cerebellum.

In other words, when “dizzy” or scrambled signals adversely affect the functioning of multiple normal brain processors, corresponding difficulties may arise with:

· reading, writing, spelling, math, memory, speech, direction and time
· grammar, concentration/activity-level, balance and coordination
· headaches, nausea, dizziness, ringing ears and motion-sickness
· frustration levels and feeling dumb, ugly, klutzy, phobic and depressed
· impulsivity, cutting class, dropping out of school and substance abuse
· bullying and being bullied as well as anger and social interactions
· becoming emotionally traumatized and scarred dysfunctional adults

Dr. Levinson shares the stories and photos of real patients, young and old, as they reveal both their reading and non-reading symptoms and their rapid, dramatic improvements after using simple and safe inner-ear enhancing medications and nutrients.

Feeling Smarter and Smarter is replete with discoveries and solutions—many that are both surprising and fascinating. For all dyslexics as well as their caring families, teachers and healers, Dr. Levinson’s inspiring work is nothing short of life-changing.

Finally, by similarly treating the coexisting signal-scrambling demon that Dr. Levinson found present in those with major brain processing disorders like Autism or ASD, traumatic brain injury, etc., they too can be helped—not cured. So as Dr. Levinson concludes, “The best is yet to come!”

Veteran Political Analyst Examines Key Forces That Led To Trump
Presidency

What political, social and cultural forces led to the election of President Donald Trump? Polit-ical analyst Bradford R. Kane explores 10 dynamics of American politics and society that played a role in the 2016 presidential election and continue to influence our politics in his ground-breaking book, Pitchfork Populism: Ten Political Forces That Shaped an Election and Continue to Change America. Some of these dynamics have deep historical roots, such as the cultural divide between those who define our national identity in terms of rugged indi-vidualism versus those who emphasize community collectivism. The author notes that these opposing viewpoints helped craft our national identity as far back as the 1700s. He also con-siders the consequences of changing demographics, which will have a profound effect on community relations and politics.

Kane foresees a return to established policy processes and governing principles after the Trump presidency, as opposed to rule based on a president’s personal interests. He anticipates greater empowerment of the electorate as more demographic groups are increasingly enfranchised. Kane also forecasts the potential impact of recent developments on the 2020 election and beyond. Other topics discussed are the role of the media, accountability, globalization, the future of bipartisanship and more.

Bradford R. Kane has served in the US Congress as Legislative Counsel to Congresswoman Cardiss Collins; as Counsel to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Consumer Protection; and as a member of President Clinton’s Task Force on Health Care Reform. Thereafter, he served the State of California as Deputy Controller, Legislation, and subsequently, as a Deputy Secretary of Information Technology. He was also a member of the Nielsen Media Research Task Force on Television Measurement; created the Bipartisan Bridge (a public policy initiative to advance bipartisanship in American government); and developed environmental and economic equity initiatives. In the global arena, he was CEO of the International Commission on Workforce Development, a Strategy Council member of the United Nations Global Alliance on ICT & Development, and Director of Strategic Initiatives and Director of International Development at TechSoup Global.

Journal Empowers Caregivers To Reflect On Their Own Needs

Rosalyn Carter said it best: “There are only four kinds of people in the world — those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers,
those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.” Yes, It Really Is All About Me is an enlightening book from Darleen Miller that seeks to empower selfless caregivers to create their own personal to-do list that nurtures the mind, body and spirit.

“Whether we are parents, grandparents, teachers or medical professionals, we all belong to a community of caregivers, and we often neglect our own needs,” Miller explains. “As we explore your personal Journey of a Lifetime, this inspirational journal will help define and support your relationship with self.”

Yes, It Really Is All About Me features a journal format that guides readers through a step-by-step journey of self-realization and self-nurturing, beginning with the question, ‘Who am I?’ The book is divided into four categories: Physical, Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual, with written exercises, insights from the author and positive statements of empowerment.

Designed for the caregiver who loves others and wants to serve their world, Yes! It Really Is All About Me aims to impact the lives of caregivers by raising their conscious awareness of their own needs and leading them down a nurturing path where they feel loved and appreciated in their service.

At an early age, author Darleen Miller began her own personal journey as a lifelong teacher and caregiver to her parents, grandparents and her three children. During her 47-year marriage, Miller supported her husband’s military career and became his primary caregiver as he battled cancer for the last 12 years of his life. He passed away at their home with hospice care in July 2010. This experiential workbook is a reflection of Miller’s holistic self-exploration in caregiving experiences. Her passion for teaching, writing and healing unite as tools to help fellow caregivers embrace a new conscious awareness of life. Miller offers numerous classes that focus on mind, body and spiritual development with self-empowerment.
